About Me
I am an accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor providing face to face work to adult individuals and couples in my practice room in Worcester Park. I work long and short term with clients on a wide range of issues. Although based in Worcester Park clients travel from the surrounding areas of London, Kingston, Sutton, Epsom and beyond.
I qualified as an integrative counsellor in 2006 and before setting up in private practice I have counselled at Kingston University, Surrey County Council and several agencies including LACAP in central London. In private practice clients self-refer and are referred through the public sector, charities such as the Shaw Trust and care advisory services such as Red Arc.
Working in these environments has given me wide clinical experience with men and women of all ages (from university age upwards) and ethnic backgrounds. I have counselled clients from the UK, mainland Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, South America and the far and middle East, and therefore I have wide experience working with cultural diversity.
My work is bound by a code of ethics as required by the BACP (The British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), I am in clinical supervision and I attend regular CPD workshops (continuing professional development) to enhance my abilities to work with specific issues that clients bring.
I trained for 4 years as a Counsellor building up the required clinical hours for qualification on work placements, being regularly supervised and undergoing my own obligatory personal psychotherapy. The qualification of Advanced Diploma in Professional Integrative Counselling was awarded in 2006.
