Depression

Depression or feeling low can have an extremely debilitating effect on the quality of one’s life and relationships and can be brought on as a response to an event such as a loss of employment, a death or serious illness or accident, etc, or can be something that has been around for a long time but with little sense of when it originally began, perhaps an eternal underlying morose feeling.

At its peak, when a person has decided to get help through counselling, a malaise has impaired many ‘normal’ activities, such as going out of the house and fears of social situations for example. Often,  communication has broken down, the person feels isolated and alone and perhaps stigmatized about how he or she feels. Talking in Counselling alongside or without medication is known to impact depression; there are no judgments passed on the sufferer. He or she can talk freely about their concerns.
