World Mental Health Day - October 10th

October 10th was World Mental Health Day, a day where millions of people across the globe raised awareness and funds for mental health causes.

Mental health is sometimes called 'emotional health' or 'wellbeing'; we all have times when we feel down or stressed or frightened, but if those feelings persist, they can develop into more serious problems and we are all susceptible to this happening.

The Mental Health Foundation http://www.mentalhealth.org.uk suggested the following ways you can try and look after yourself:

• talking about your feelings • keeping active • eating well • drinking sensibly • keeping in touch with friends and loved ones • asking for help when you need it • taking a break • doing something you're good at and enjoy • accepting who you are • caring for others
